November Birchbox

Hello ladies!

 

It is finally time for my November Birchbox reveal.  This months box came very late, I just received it yesterday the 24th! I knew it was going to be a little late because of the storm and everything, but wow, this is super late.  Anyway, this months box is a definite improvement over last months, thank goodness.  So, lets just jump right in!

Influenster College VoxBox

So about a week ago, I received the Influenster College VoxBox.  If you don't know what Influenster is, it is a website where you can review different products and answer questions and you get points for different things.  The website is completely free.  Every now and then you can be eligible for a VoxBox, which is where they send you a box of products (usually themed) for you to review on the influenster website.  So I was eligible for the College VoxBox and I got it in the mail about a week ago and thought I would show you guys what they sent and my initial reactions on a few things.

Skyfall 2 coats

So I picked up a set of the new OPI Skyfall Collection nail polishes and am loving these two a lot.  The set came with Skyfall, GoldenEye, and The Spy Who Loved Me. Skyfall does not look nearly as pretty in the bottle as it does on the nail.  With two coats it is a bit darker and more of that oxblood color that has been popular this fall.  GoldenEye is a GORGEOUS gold flake polish.  Its not a glitter, but actual gold flakes.  I am going to get a ton of use out of that one.  I only decided I wanted to put it on after I had completely painted my nails with Skyfall so I just put a coat over top.

November Ipsy bag

It's time again for the November Ipsy bag. I cannot even believe that it is almost Thanksgiving and almost the end of November.  This year has just completely flown by. Anyway,  I was pretty impressed this month with the items that they included. Keep reading for the full list of products and what my first impressions of them are.

Sephora VIB event

Hello there!

Some of you may know that Sephora had their VIB even this past weekend, and since I am a VIB, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get 20% off.  So I swung by my Sephora on Friday after work and picked up some Christmas gifts and a little something for me as well.  I decided to grab the Sephora In The Glow value kit. I have photographed all of the products as well as swatches.  I have tried some of them out since Friday and there will be initial reactions for those.

While I was out at Target the day and came across Essie - Penny Talk and I have been wanting this nail polish and just decided to pick it up.

2 Coats

I love this more than I expected! This color is such a pretty rose gold color and is very metallic! It looks very nice on the nail.  It is a bit difficult to work with, but it's worth it because it looks so gorgeous on.  This color is so great for fall and winter and I know I will be definitely be wearing this one a lot.

I did a little bit of shopping this weekend ( I was attempting to do some Christmas shopping but failed) and I went to Bath & Body Works.  I mainly went because I had a 20% off your entire purchase coupon and their candles were 2 for $20.  So I picked up a couple of those and some other things.

2 Coats

Last week, Ulta was having a sale on the Muppets nail polish collection for OPI.  They were 2 for $12, so I went and picked some up, mostly for christmas gifts.  But I did keep one for myself, because I just couldn't help it.  So I picked up Meep-Meep-Meep and painted my nails yesterday.  I know its not exactly a fall color, but I love pink and I love sparkles, so the two of those together is something I just could not resist.

Meep-Meep-Meep is a very hot pink (it looks quite a bit darker in the bottle than it does on the nail) and has pink glitter in it. It doesn't come out overly glittery on the nail, but more shimmery.  It was very easy to work with, though I may try to put on another coat next time to see if it comes out as dark as it is in the bottle.  

Overall, I love it.  It is such a great hot pink and I love that it has glitter/shimmer in it.
